Below are some tips for leaf litter:
1. Plan ahead! If you’re planning an overnight trip to see the changing leaves, book hotels early, as many have additional regulations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2. Follow state guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. Try to plan your trip in the middle of the week; You’ll find that the roads are quieter, giving you more opportunities to enjoy the views.
4. Make an adventure out of your trip by exploring the back roads. Some of the best sights are off the beaten path.
5. Don’t worry about missing the “peak” color. You’ll still be able to enjoy the full array of colors that you can find “up to the peak”.
6. Take time to explore some areas on foot. A hike allows you to truly experience the foliage.
7. Wear a face covering and maintain appropriate social distancing.
