Man wanted in Malden in connection with shooting arrested

MALDEN, Mo. (KFVS) – The search is over for a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Malden on Thursday, August 11.

According to Malden Department of Public Safety, Aaron D. Cooper was arrested Friday evening with help from the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department.

Malden DPS said Cooper was wanted for several charges including armed criminal action and first-degree assault.

Police said a man was walking down the street on Thursday when Cooper came by in a vehicle, allegedly shot the man and then took off from officers.
