A 13-year-old Virginia boy is accused of strangling his 4-year-old sibling

DANVILLE, Va. – A 13-year-old in Virginia has been charged with murder after police say the teenager admitted to strangling his 4-year-old brother last year.

Authorities had been investigating the death since August, and the teenager confessed to killing the child earlier this week, Danville police said in a statement.

The teenager is charged with first-degree murder and will be held pending trial, police said.

The teenager’s name is not being released due to his age. Police also did not release additional details about the child’s death.
