A woman suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday evening after the car she was driving crashed into a Label Shopper store in Jay Plaza following an alleged robbery.

Shannon Moss, spokeswoman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, identified the driver as 33-year-old Vanessa Gordon of Livermore Falls. Gordon, who has a suspended license, was flown by LifeFlight helicopter to a local hospital. The passenger, Joshua Allen, 38, of Farmington, was seriously injured and airlifted to a local hospital.

Moss said Maine State Police and the Jay Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at Label Shopper on Tuesday at 7:49 p.m. When the officer pulled over their vehicle, the suspects fled.
