Crews battle a grain elevator fire in Hoffman

Hoffman, Minn. — Crews battled a grain elevator fire in western Minnesota Friday evening.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, they received multiple 911 calls Friday evening about an explosion and fire at a grain elevator and asked the public to stay away from the scene. Several fire departments responded to the scene, including those from Hoffman, Barrett, Elbow Lake and Alexandria.

The fire was brought under control at around 10.20pm and crews were working to clear the area.

No one was injured and law enforcement officers are investigating the causes of the incident.
