A young man from Nashua, New Hampshire, has been charged with five counts of first-degree assault after allegedly stabbing a male victim multiple times in what police are calling a domestic violence attack.
According to the Nashua Police Department, 18-year-old Jayden Barringer was in preventive custody pending Wednesday in Hillsborough Superior Court.
Nashua authorities responded to a home Tuesday for a report of active domestic violence involving Barringer and a man known to her. The police department says that when officers arrived at the home, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds.
The victim received first aid at the scene and was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said.
Barringer, who allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times during the physical assault, was taken into custody without treatment.
