DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – A Dothan woman is facing charges that she caused her boyfriend’s death while driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police arrested 33-year-old Porsche Teres Hudgens on manslaughter and DUI charges in connection with a Nov. 17, 2022, single-car wreck along West Main Street in Dothan.

He was arrested on Thursday.

While en route to a medical destination, the vehicle left the road near Bracewell Avenue and struck a tree below Main Street, killing the passenger, Josephine Edwards, 81, according to investigators.

The identity of the drugs allegedly found on Hudgens was not immediately available for this report.

Officers also charged Hudgens with driving on a revoked license.

Public records indicate that Hudgens sometimes uses the name Hudgeons.

His booking photo will be posted when available.
