Sheriff: Clayton County ‘brutal thug’ arrested after gunman attacks taxi driver

A man accused of raping a taxi driver at gunpoint in Lovejoy has been arrested, Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen said.

According to officials, the incident happened on Friday. That’s when officials say Christian Jacques Taylor got into a taxi in Lovejoy before the woman pulled a gun on the driver and forced him to take off his clothes.

After the initial crime, the Lovejoy Police Department was able to identify the suspect as Taylor and obtained warrants for rape, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.

He was arrested at his Henry County home in Hampton. Officials said Taylor tried to run away from officers with a gun in his front pocket, but was quickly apprehended.

Taylor remains behind bars in the Clayton County Jail.
