ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating Saturday’s death. A human body was reportedly found at the scene of the fire.
The Albuquerque Fire Department (AFR) was called to the scene of the blaze sometime after 7 a.m. in the 2500 block of Silver Avenue, northeast, officials said.
AFR said 13 units were dispatched to the scene and were a one-story duplex. The fire was quickly extinguished.
A human body was found at the scene. Because of the man’s injuries, the Homicide Squad was called.
No firefighters were injured, officials said, and the investigation is ongoing.
